A great example of Baluch Yakub Khani rug from Afghanistan. It dates to 1880s with silky wool. Most Baluch rugs use an extremely limited color palette, but this rug is not your average rug. It has the special electric blue of the very best Baluch examples. The apricot/orange in the field is unusual. The weaver has shown a lot of creativity in this rug. 

Pile is medium and both ends have tears.
