This particular rug stands out for its vibrant, naturally dyed colors, all derived from vegetable-based dyes. The palette is cheerful and diverse, featuring a wide range of hues: reds, blues, greens, ivory, dark browns, golden yellows, and more. The skillful use of multiple shades of greens and blues demonstrates the remarkable expertise of the weaver.

Most Qashqai rugs, including this one, were likely woven by women, who passed down these intricate techniques through generations. The design features what are often referred to in the trade as "Nazem medallions" complex, stylized motifs that are beautifully detailed in this example. As is characteristic of tribal rugs, there was no pre-drawn design or pattern; the weaver improvised the composition as they worked, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
