This is a modern rug inspired by the ancient tradition of Persia Gabbeh weaving. The term Gabbeh means raw or natural, reflecting its simple and rustic character. Historically, these rugs were coarsely knotted with a long, sometimes shaggy pile and a flexible structure. They were woven quickly and were soft enough to serve as both floor coverings and insulating wraps in mountain climates for the tribes.

Hollis is handwoven by skilled Afghan artisans using exceptionally lustrous, soft wool. The design is contemporary, expressed through layered shades of blue, green, gray, and brown. Subtle tonal variation adds depth and movement. It is an excellent choice for a bedroom, children's room, or study.
