This is a great example of classic Persian Tabriz rug circa 1920. The color palette is smart with indigo, soft blues and reds and excellent use of ivory and cream. Tabriz rugs such as Florence are known for exceptional craftsmanship, extremely fine knotting, precise drawing, and the use of high-quality wool. Antique examples, particularly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are prized for their balanced palettes. This rug is a unique piece. The condition is good with minimal wear. Minor staining can be seen in some areas.
