An excellent runner from the Luri tribe of Southwest Persia, circa 1900. The Luri people have earned their reputation as accomplished artisans. The palette is a combination of strong primary colors with some gold accent colors. The motifs (animal heads, stylized flowers) and design irregularity are staple of tribal folk art. This runner was woven on a wool foundation and the pile is high. Overall condition is excellent. This piece is versatile and can be used in a variety of settings, e.g. kitchen, dining room, study area.

This runner is in great condition with a high pile and minimal wear.
